Fun Facts
I love to be busy! Whether my time is filled with school work, working out, working, or hanging out with friends, I fill every minute of every day. Although I have only ever lived in Texas, I have dual citizenship with America and England. I was a gymnast for ten years and personally know and trained with the past two Olympic Champions: Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin.
About Me
I am a first year student with sophomore hours at Texas Christian University. I am pursuing a Biochemistry major with a Spanish for Health Professions minor on the Pre-Health track. Following my undergraduate education, I hope to attend medical school or a related medical graduate level program.
Through NHS and Mu Alpha Theta, I have spent many hours voluntarily tutoring students ranging in age from middle school to high school. As much as I loved these brief tutoring sessions, I really wanted the opportunity to get more involved in helping individual students and watch them grow throughout the school year. The last year and a half allowed me to do this as I tutored a couple of students one-on-one, so I am looking forward to being able to work with multiple students one-on-one through this school year.
In my junior year of high school, I had a math teacher that was adamant that we never memorize anything for her class, but that instead, we understood the process and method behind it. This concept is something that really stuck with me, and that I have personally used to help me in my educational career since. It is this that I will attempt to teach as a tutor. Memorizing is good for the moment, but understanding is good for the long term.
