Fun Facts
While Graphic Design is the profession I have ultimately chosen to pursue and I have a great deal of passion for it, my original college goal was a Bachelor's in English. I have always loved to write and language in general remains an alternate passion of mine! I've taken a number of English classes at UCCS and a good deal more than required at the High School level, and though I ultimately chose to pursue my passion for art and design English remains my second "love"! I am also a photographer.
About Me
I am currently a Web Design and Graphic Design freelancer working in springs">Colorado Springs! Primarily I do freelance work for Graham Oleson, but have designed for UCCS and PPCC as well as multiple small businesses in the Springs. At the moment I'm keeping my eyes open for any opportunities that present themselves, but overall I would like to keep working towards becoming a professional freelancer with enough income to sustain myself and my family (aka my Fiance' and three dogs).
Experience
I have a degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design with a Certificate in Web Design, and have plenty of experience working with an advertising agency (Graham Oleson), where I have picked up a good amount of knowledge pertaining to what it means to work with a professional design team. I also have plenty of experience working with small businesses, and currently maintain two Wordpress websites for two different companies. I've also designed a good number of logos etc. for multiple other companies!
Approach
I have a strong belief that passion is the best teacher. In school it was my most passionate teachers and professors that inspired me to do my best, even when I had little to no interest in the subjects they taught. I believe that the best approach to springs">tutoring is to share my passion for the arts and help provide students the tools to achieve their ultimate, unlimited potential. In general, this also means adapting to each student's individual strengths and teaching in a way that excites them!

Graphic Design Tutoring
I have a degree in Graphic Design from Pikes Peak Community College and have current working experience with a professional in-town design team. I have created many designs that have been published and used on a professional level.
English Tutoring
I took and completed multiple English classes at UCCS and English (Reading &Writing) was my strongest subject in High School. My ACT scores in Reading and Writing were always above a 30. Even as a designer I have written multiple scripts that have been used in radio and TV commercials.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have taken a fair number of college and high school-level classes involving English and reading comprehension. Writing Tutoring
I have taken several reading and writing classes (both technical and non-technical writing) at UCCS as well as classes in creative writing and otherwise throughout High School. Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
Microsoft Powerpoint (and Microsoft Office in general) was a program that I grew up learning, and ended up using throughout elementary, middle, and high school. It is thus a program I am quite decently familiar with and though it may have updated since I stopped using it so regularly, much of the interface remains the same. I have never had trouble returning to it to show others around in the past.
Microsoft Windows Tutoring
I have grown up using Microsoft computers and have been using them on a professional level since High School. As a child I taught myself to correct my desktop and laptop's errors and have experience in dealing with virus removal as well as core system file failure. Microsoft is my OS of choice at home and I keep up to date on most of their software.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
Microsoft Word is another Office program I grew up using, and is my preferred program for writing even today. I have taken a college course on Microsoft Office which taught me many of the lesser-known features of the program. I also have experience with "tutoring" many family members to use the program properly in the past.
