Fun Facts
My family has always been particularly close and they’ve influenced me more than anything else in my life. When I was growing up my older sister would take me to the movies every weekend, since then I’ve become a movie buff and see every movie I can. Later on in high school my eldest brother took my younger brother and I out bouldering with him, which I continue to do every week.
About Me
I was born in washington/vancouver">Vancouver, Washington, but have spent the majority of my life in Bend, Oregon. I graduated from mountain-view">Mountain View High School in 2012 and moved to Portland, Oregon to study Math and science/oregon/portland">Computer Science at the portland">University of Portland. I’m intending to either go on to get a Masters in Artificial Intelligence or to become apart of a startup company.
Since middle school I’ve always tried to help my friends comprehend schoolwork with which they struggled. While in high school, a math teacher of mine suggested that I should consider portland">tutoring after school; I immediately fell in love with it and have been portland">tutoring for over four years now. Over the years I have primarily tutored in math subjects from pre-algebra to calculus but have also tutored in English, physics, and various others.
portland">Tutoring for me is more than just something to add to a resume or college application, but a way to make a lasting impact on another individual. I struggled with math in middle school until I had a portland">tutor who was able to help make the concepts stick with me for a long time, rather than just learning them to earn a good grade on a quiz. So for my own portland">tutoring I’ve looked to make the material relevant to each person and present information in unique ways.
