I enjoy going to Jazzercise classes. It's an aerobics workout to a variety of music with dance moves that are always new and interesting. There are also exercises with weights, bands, and mats. The teacher is high energy and the group is full of great people which make each time so much fun!

About Me

philadelphia">Tutoring has been a passion of mine for many years. I have worked one-on-one with students on all grade levels. My certification as a Reading Specialist has allowed me the satisfaction of gaining experience and skills to make a difference in the progress of every student I taught.

Being able to work with parents and teachers lets the girl or boy know that we all care. Getting individual attention based on the student's needs will enable each one to raise their level of proficiency while building confidence. This approach instills pride and success that will help the student to achieve the goals set. As a result, a student's academic as well as personal growth is enhanced.

My experience includes preparing lessons and instructing students in an atmosphere of setting goals based on individual strengths and weaknesses. The emphasis was placed on phonics, pronunciation, and word development through reading, and usage in writing and speaking. I also administered on-going reading assessments and collaborated with colleagues in planning and implementing lessons using classroom and supplementary materials.
