Fun Facts

I am a licensed teacher with the state of New Mexico. I live on a mini farm with my husband, bubbly daughter, two miniature goats, and a miniature donkey named Pablo. I have a great passion for literature and sharing the reads I find with everyone around me. I love the influence a book has on a persons life experiences. I enjoy baking, gardening, and making homemade ice cream during the hot summer days here in Albuquerque.

About Me

I completed my B.S. with an emphasis in English Language and Literature and Communications Arts and Sciences from the University of New Mexico Cum Laude in 2012. I have an Internship Teaching License endorsed in Language Arts and TESOL and I am currently in the process of attaining my master's degree in education curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in reading at highlands-university">New Mexico Highlands University. I understand the importance of community, culture, values and motivating students to achieve greatness through academic discipline, motivation, and integrating 21st century skills.

I have pursued a varied course of study that has provided me with a significant understanding of child development and pedagogy. I have had the opportunity to observe and apply a variety of teaching styles with widely varying curricula and philosophies over the past 5 years. I believe that education is the key to success for young students in both moral and structural well-being.
