Fun Facts
As a typical Brazilian, I love to socialize and to meet new people. I am always smiling because I believe that life is too short to be spent being sad or mad with someone else. I also love to dance. Last but not least, I enjoy playing volleyball, traveling, talking, laughing, working out, and the list goes on and on. Concluding, I am a simple person, treating life as a delicious M&M pennant butter package.
About Me
I am from Brazil. I am the youngest of 6 siblings and the first one in my family to live outside our country. I moved to United States in December of 2010 to attend Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYUI). I graduated in chemistry in 2014, worked for BYUI for a year and then joined the University of Utah chemistry graduate program in 2015 to work on my doctorate degree.
Experience
At BYU-Idaho, I had the opportunity to tutor many subjects such as calculus I and II, trigonometry, algebra, chemistry for nursing, general chemistry, organic chemistry and biochemistry.
At University of Utah,I've been working as an organic chemistry since I joined the graduate programe. I taught organic I and II labs and now I am the head of TAs for organic chemistry I lecture. Last spring I got elected TA of spring 2016 semester. I love being a TA and help other to understand and love chemistr
Approach
Every other time we get struggle in school with subjects hard to understand. I try to help my students to understand that believing in themselves is the golden key to success. In my tutoring sessions, I attempt to help my students to develop this self confidence. Also, in my sessions, I focus on the key skills the student need to have to understand and solve the problem asked.
