Fun Facts
I love learning. The actual process itself is something I get fulfillment from and this is what I think is the key to being in the right mindset to succeed. While I'm not the most social person, I understand social situations quite well and the social queues involved in the exchange. I like to work with computers and video games used to be a past hobby of mine. I enjoy reading heavily now.
About Me
I'm a sophomore at CSUN majoring in economics with plans to double major in economics and marketing. I'm a great student with my average grade being about an A- I would say. I really want to help my community and let it prosper for us and future generations to come.
Experience
I used to go to tutoring for all of middle school and they truly helped me learn "how to learn". I would love to pass that knowledge onto someone younger to help them "get it" way sooner than I ever did. Hopefully it would give them a leg up in their life and they can lead happy, secure, and fulfilled lives.
Approach
My approach would be to try to level with them. Growing up I had this feeling I was being "told" what to do by teachers and that made me think that I should be making my own decisions on how to learn and such when in reality they just wanted whats best for me. A lot of kids that are in tutoring I don't think are there for a lack of knowledge, but a lack of quality effort. And if you can show them that quality effort without them feeling patronized, then I think great progress would be made.

English Tutoring
I was reading at high school level when I was in elementary school and have a fundamental understanding of the English language. I am very patient when it comes to reading as a close friend of mine had a reading disability and I would always be there for him. I have been helping children in my close family learn to read for years, so I am no stranger to teaching it.
Homework Coach Tutoring
It took me a long time to learn to concentrate when it came to doing homework and the importance of it. Knowing that information now, I can help make a change in kids early so they can be set for the rest of their lives. These initial years are very important in a child's learning development and I can be there to help guide them to the right path.

I understand or how kids would say, "get it" when it comes to math and I would like to transfer that same "got it" knowledge to kids seeking extra attention in regards to math.
