Fun Facts
As a girl born and raised in Los Angeles I love anything and everything relating to the beach/ the outdoors such as swimming, hiking, and camping. My other favorite pass time is reading! I enjoy novels relating to or pertaining to feminism and dystopian societies best. I also enjoy going to museums or art galleries around my area to discover new and exciting exhibits.
About Me
I am an English major at St. John's University and plan on switching my major to journalism next semester. I appreciate creative works such as poetry ad novels immensely but I enjoy writing informative pieces much more. My end goal is not to make the most amount of money possible, but rather to use my skills to see the world wholly and accurately all whilst gaining experience.
Experience
Although I have never tutored through a company, I have been helping my siblings, friends, and acquaintances with their homework/ projects throughout high school. More than anything, I love reading and editing other's essays; it not only helps the writer but it also helps me grow as well.
Approach
I have acquired the strong belief that tutors should help their students learn how to do their work rather than doing the work for the student. I challenge my students not only so that they understand each concept but so that they gain confidence in future academic endeavors. With that being said, I understand that school work may seem daunting so I like to maintain a calm and nurturing learning environment.
