Fun Facts
I actually skipped my senior year of high school, and transitioned into college directly after my junior year!
I have been taking voice lessons for four years; I am a lyric soprano who can also sing mezzo. I am also a huge football fan. I am a member of 4 different collegiate honor societies, and I have been on the Dean's List every college semester that I took a full credit load (part time students cannot qualify for Dean's List).
About Me
I am a college senior majoring in Theatre and English with a focus in writing. I am hardworking, dedicated, and enjoy helping others. My goal is to attend grad school, but at this time I am not sure the specific career I would like to pursue. With my English degree, I am considering careers in editing, public relations, or maybe even law. I also love theatre, and would love to continue to perform in the future.
I do not have specific maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring experience, but I have assisted students in my classes over the years. I am the student that others would seek out when they are confused by a concept, or want someone to peer-edit their paper. I have previous experience working with children of different ages, and in high school, I worked in a hybrid mentoring program with middle school students.
I base my personal maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring philosophy on the concept that no two people are alike, and therefore, no two brains are alike. With this idea in mind, my goal is to create a comprehensive system that works for each individual student, utilizing their strengths to help other skills stick. I know from personal experience that people learn differently, so I would do my best to help each student learn in a way that works best for them.
