Fun Facts
I am from Gunter, TX and have a 17 year old sister. My family has two dogs and a cat. I am an old lady at heart... I LOVE knitting and baking!
About Me
I am a junior biology major at TCU on the pre-med track. After graduation I plan to attend medical school in pursuit of becoming a pediatrician.
Experience
I have experience as a camp counselor and drawing teacher for elementary school students. I have a passion for working with kids and making a positive impact on their lives. The opportunity to guide a child to seeing a difficult problem or subject in a new way that makes sense to them is incredible. Nothing is better than seeing a kid finally understand something that once frustrated them!
Approach
Chemistry was one of my hardest subjects in high school. Often times when the teacher would explain a complicated concept, I would be completely lost but feel to embarrassed to ask for help in front of the whole class. If someone had taken the time to explain it to me one-on-one in a way that made sense to me, that would have made an incredible difference. I want to help kids see things from a new perspective and find the solution on their own--not just memorizing, but understanding!
