Fun Facts
One passion I have that people learn about me is that I love all types of music. Whenever a song comes on the radio, I will most likely know the lyrics. I love singing although I may not be the best at it. I have four siblings and am from a small town named Lompoc that is currently in the process of attempting to change its name to "Lompokemon" in order to attract tourists.
About Me
I am currently a junior at the University of California, Berkeley. I am a 3.5 student majoring in Psychology and once I graduate I plan on pursing my higher education at graduate school. My ultimate goal is to become a college professor so that I may be able to instill the same passion of education that I have in others.
Experience
As an AVID tutor, I had the opportunity to work with students weekly in all subject areas during my senior year in high school. As a Reaction Program Leader I worked one-on-one and in group settings helping students with school curriculum and homework. I have years of experience working and volunteering at summer camps and as a teachers assistant. I am excited to begin working with students again and working with Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to continue sharing my passion with others.
Approach
As a child, I always loved learning. When I began tutoring, I found a passion for teaching as well. Throughout my life, I was lucky enough to have multiple teachers and professors who inspired me to be a better student as well as a better person. I want to be able to instill the same inspiration for learning and growth in other students. I believe that once learning becomes fun, it is no longer work.

Psychology
Psychology Tutoring
I began taking Psychology courses as a senior in high school and continue to take courses throughout college. I have always excelled in this topic and have taken courses in every subject ranging from Social Psychology, to Child Psychology, to Research and Data Analysis, and so on.
Algebra Tutoring
I began tutoring Algebra as a senior in high school and have continued taking math courses throughout college including Algebra and Statistics courses. I have taught Algebra at the high school level, middle school level, and elementary levels. I have also done volunteer work assisting peers with math homework in various subjects.
English Tutoring
I did so well in my English courses my senior year of high school that I was recommended by my English teacher to tutor. This is how my passion for tutoring and teaching began. I have experience tutoring as an AVID tutor and Recreation Program Leader in English.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have years of experience assisting students, family, and peers with homework. When tutoring in any subject, I am not only teaching, I am coaching and motivating students to do better. I try to make every session one that is fun and worth while.
Math Tutoring
I began tutoring Math as a senior in high school and have continued taking math courses throughout college. My algebra teacher in college recognized my excellence in math and recommended I take higher math courses.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I have experience tutoring Algebra including: Pre Algebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. I have taken math courses up to Statistics in college which required a prior knowledge in algebra.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am an excellent student with great study habits. I have attended many various orientations on proper study habits as well as time management.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I began tutoring Math as a senior in high school and have continued taking math courses throughout college. My algebra teacher in college recognized my excellence in math and recommended I take higher math courses.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I began tutoring Math as a senior in high school and have continued taking math courses throughout college. I have experience teaching math at elementary level and enjoy helping students to understand it. As a child I struggled with math so I love teaching students ways to have fun with it!
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have experience teaching Reading Comprehension at the elementary level. I have worked one-on-one with students in delayed reading comprehension to bring them up to speed with their classmates.
Science Tutoring
I began tutoring science, specifically earth science, as a senior in high school. As an AVID Tutor this was my primary topic for tutoring. As a Recreation Program Leader I taught and assisted students with science at the elementary level.
Social Studies Tutoring
I began tutoring Social Studies as a high school senior. I did so well in this topic that my history teacher recommended me as a teacher assistant and tutor. I have experience teaching Social Studies as an AVID Tutor, a Recreation Program Leader, and a Summer Camp Leader.
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
I have three years of experience working with Microsoft Excel in an office setting as well as 5 years working with Excel in high school and college. In high school I took an ROP course in which students learned to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I received an award for student of the month. As a Recreation Program Coordinator I created Excel Spreadsheets and saved and reported logistics using this program.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
I have three years of experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint in an office setting as well as 5 years working with it in high school and college. In high school I took an ROP course in which students learned to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I received an award for student of the month. As Recreation Program Coordinator I created and presented multiple PowerPoints to the public and in work meetings. Throughout college I have used PowerPoint to present projects.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
I have three years of experience working with Microsoft Word in an office setting as well as 7 years working with Word throughout high school and college. In high school I took an ROP course in which students learned to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. I received an award for student of the month. As a city employee I used Microsoft Word on a daily basis to create documents, program flyers, and memos. I am extremely comfortable working with Word and have always enjoyed it.
Arts Tutoring
As a child I began taking art courses and continued taking them throughout high school and college. I have taken Art History and 3D design and sculpture. I have also taught arts and crafts in after school settings as well as summer programs.
Writing Tutoring
I began tutoring Writing as a senior in high school. I have always been an excellent writer and have experience teaching proper writing habits as well as proof reading student papers.
