I love all things sports, whether that be watching or playing. I am an avid Mets fan. I am also a huge fan of the outdoors and love exploring new places. I'm very family oriented and enjoy spending time with my parents and little sister, so long as I'm not being lectured by my mom.

About Me

I am a senior in Hunter College majoring in science/new-york/new-york">Computer Science. Upon graduation, I hope to find a job in the tech sector (hopefully one that will pay for me to achieve my Master's Degree in science/new-york/new-york">Computer Science). My ultimate goal is to develop an app or a website that will hit a million downloads on the App Store.

Experience

I started off tutoring elementary school kids while I was in high school, and in various different subjects, from math to ELA to homework help. I also worked on behalf of the Union Settlement Association to tutor summer school students. My most recent teaching experience consisted of a teaching assistant position for NYC Generation Tech at Long Island University where I facilitated high school students with their coding abilities, so that they could ultimately make a working mobile application.

Approach

I have a friendly approach with all of my students. I realize that making jokes and speaking to them on a friendly basis breaks the ice and makes them comfortable. When students are comfortable, they are more likely to tell you what they need help with. In teaching, I try to break up whatever problem into smaller, simpler steps. This prevents the students from being overwhelmed and gives them a solvable approach to a problem.

Biology I Tutoring

Before pursuing my degree in computer science, I was a biology major and took both Biology 1 and 2 in college. In high school, I also excelled in AP Biology and received a 4/5 on the Advanced Placement Exam. I also took the SAT Subject test for Biology and received a 740 on it.
