I play lacrosse at John Carroll University and have worked with kids in lacrosse camps in the past. I enjoy spending times with friends and going to all kinds of Cleveland sporting events. I love spending time outside and playing any kind of sport with friends. I am passionate about mentoring and have prior experience mentoring children.

About Me

I enjoy working with children and am currently involved in a mentoring program on campus at John Carroll University. The mentoring program has us working with at risk youth in the Greater Cleveland area. Our program attempts to give children an environment where they can express themselves and learn how to better themselves. Our group works with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the GReater Cleveland area. We engage in activities ranging from arts and crafts to attending Cleveland Cavaliers games with our littles.

I have worked with elementary school children tutoring them in all subjects. Tutoring was done through the John Carroll University Center for Service and Social Action. Tutoring lasted for two hours a day one day per week. Tutoring took place at Saint Thomas Aquinas school in Downtown Cleveland. I enjoyed my time tutoring and hope to continue my work tutoring as a Frog Tutor

I believe the student should try to understand material on their own as much as possible. Anything they do not understand should be explained by the tutor to them. There should be a balance between the student trying their hardest to learn how to perform the task on their own and using the tutor as supplement when they are stuck on something they do not understand. The tutor should also push the student to do the best work they can possibly achieve.
