About Me
I studied Government and the Study of Women and Gender at Smith College (in Northampton, MA).
Experience
I taught an SAT class of four students. These students also received private and group tutoring sessions with me, ultimately helping them raise their scores by up to 250 points. I tutored elementary school students at risk of failure in math, reading and spelling for two years.
Approach
I always make sure I'm teaching students skills to lead them to independence, so that they are able to confidently complete their work and take exams by themselves.

Elementary Math Tutoring
I tutored elementary school students for two years in math.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I consistently scored in the 95-99th percentile on state standardized tests. I tutored elementary students who were at risk of academic failure for two years.
Social Studies Tutoring
Although it had a different name, I studied "Social Studies" in college, and know that all of my social studies classes contributed to my completion of that degree. I know how to make social studies fun!
Spanish Tutoring
I took three Spanish courses in high school, three in college, and earned A's and B's. I worked at a domestic violence shelter in New Mexico, where I taught classes to many women who did not speak English.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
I've taught many people how to use Microsoft Word!
