Fun Facts

A fun fact about me that people learn without even needing to make contact with me is that I love to sing. Very often, no matter what I'm doing, I would be singing. It makes many of the things I do more fun & enjoyable! I am the youngest of three girls & I have two dogs that I absolutely love with all my heart! I've also been told that I make a lot of cheesy & corny jokes, but I'm very easy to get along with.

About Me

I am a first year at the community college of De Anza & my intended major is biology. After completing the required units needed to transfer, I plan to transfer to a university in California. Some leadership experience I have is that I took leadership both in my middle & high school years & I feel it has helped me a lot with adapting and communication. My ultimate career goal is to become a pediatrician because I believe in helping people & giving a chance.

Experience

As a result of needing to complete 20 hours of community service to graduate high school, I started tutoring elementary students at our Milpitas city library. It started out as a means to fulfill a requirement, but interacting and associating with the kids made me realize how much I actually enjoyed it. I mainly tutored kids from ages 6-10; I helped them with English & math homework & reading skills. It would be an honor to be able to continue my journey through Frog Tutoring with all of you!

Approach

When I was younger, I had a difficult finding motivation to figure out the things that I didn't understand. Growing up, I feel that I have found a path that helped me not only feel the need to learn, but to want to understand. I believe that it's important to voluntarily want to seek answers & to work hard until you find them & fully understand the meaning behind them. I hope to bring my support and encouragement to help influence students to continuously work hard to achieve their goals.
