Fun Facts
I was raised North Carolina and have a passion for sports and the outdoors. I love to hike, bake and watch college basketball. I am a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers and NC Tar Heels.
About Me
I am an elementary teacher with certifications in education/illinois/chicago">special education and early childhood education. I have two master's degrees in education. I went to UNC Chapel Hill for my undergraduate degree where I studied English and Public Policy.
Experience
I have been tutoring for various tutoring organizations for the past seven years as an online and in-person tutor. This experience led me to become a classroom teacher. I am passionate about helping students achieve their potential in the classroom and beyond.
Approach
I work with students to find out their interests. From their interests, I work to find texts, math approaches and perspectives to engage students. Depending on the situation, I will use my background as a special educator to create special growth and development plans for all students I tutor.
