Fun Facts
I love music, especially singing! Also, I can play some piano, violin as well as guitar. Although I'm not professional, I got in the final singing competition called "TSA Idol" by Taiwanese Student Association at UW. Huge huge huge fan of music and art!
About Me
I'm a senior Education major (and Nutrition minor) at washington">University of Washington, and I've been on the Dean's List for the past three years. After I gradate, I plan on working as a teacher or tutor for a year, and earn my Masters in music/fashion design/psychology, which I'm not sure about yet... I like all of them!
Experience
I'was a summer school tutor at the Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC), where I taught Chinese and English languages to language learners. I have also tutored at the Youth Tutoring Program (YTP), where I created individual lesson plans based on students' academic performance.
Besides, being selected as the president of Teach For China-UW Chapter and a facilitator at The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students at UW have taught me to be responsible and organized.
Approach
The first time I attended a tutoring session was when I was in high school, after which, I've realized that the best way to learn is to fully understand the rule/theory/reason and practice further. It's better to try my best while figuring out the answer, instead of giving up halfway and waiting for an answer. Especially, I'm thankful for having a tutor that's patient, passionate, funny and knowledgable, and that's the kind of tutor I hope to be.

Music Theory Tutoring
Yes yes. music is the thing that I love the most! I can play a little piano, guitar and violin, and prior to practicing those instruments, music theory was the basic thing to learn.
In high school, I was also part of the school choir and school band.
Physics Tutoring
I've spent all the school years before 11th grade in China, where subjects such as Chemistry and Physics were mandatory, and they were required to learn for at least three years. After coming to the U.S., I found it really easy to get a higher-than-3.5 GPA for these two subjects, and I've saved all knowledge in my mind.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
During all four years of college, I've maintained a 4.0 GPA on math. And I was encouraged by teachers to form a Math team in high school to help peers solve math problems and practice SAT math questions.
