About Me
I am very open minded and down to earth in a sense that I can handle a lot of hardships that come my way . In order to do that I had to be patient , goal oriented , and maintain a sense of humor at the necessary moments of my life. A few words to describe me are humble, polite, strong willed, happy, and of course smart. Oh and another huge characteristic about me is that I love helping people, it gives me a lot of satisfaction when I help my family or friends.
I've had tutoring experience in the past when I was in high school, I tutored younger kids in elementary school and became a mentor for these kids. I also have a two year old daughter that I tutor in one way or another all the time!
Also, the time spent in college I was involved in an organization called SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) a non profit organization , in which we mentored younger high school students in how to open up a business.
My cousins would always call me and ask me for help on their exams , whether it be finance, mathematics, or physics.
I like to take an approach that lets the student find their answers through me asking them questions. However, you can't do that without making sure that the student has a foundation in the material they are learning . So first I like to find out how much the student knows and then figure out a strategy for tutoring based on that information. In general , my approach is similar to a Socratic method of teaching , asking questions which I believe stimulates the most thinking.
