Fun Facts
I majored in Anthropology with a minor in Environmental Studies at Princeton University. (Unfortunately I'm unable to select Princeton as my university on the FrogTutoring website, as it's not currently listed). I enjoy reading, writing bikes, and baking. I have been an active volunteer at the Crisis Ministry in Trenton, New Jersey, an organization that works to prevent homelessness.
About Me
I am a college graduate who is passionate about education- I will be working to help improve education in Laos through the nonprofit ChildFund next year. I am a hard worker and connect well with others. I'm the one all my friends turn to for help with their writing and their papers. I am a skilled academic, and have written a 170-page senior thesis for my major. I would be able to tutor college students in the fields of Sociology, Environmental Science, English, writing, art, and more. I have experience conducting independent ethnographic research and sociological studies. I love history and literature: I received 5's on the U.S. History, World History, English Language, and English Literature AP exams in high school. I would be particularly good at assisting high school, middle school, and elementary school students with assignments concerning English, literature, writing, history, and biology.
I often help my friends and relatives with their academic work. I have experience editing essays for college applications, homework assignments, and AP test prep. I was part of a workshop group in my Anthropology department that looked over and helped edit the senior theses of other Anthropology majors.
I focus on clear communication with those I help- as the leader of several dialogue groups on Princeton's campus, communication is something that is very important to me. By communicating clearly, I hope to develop understanding, and give those I tutor a strategy and the confidence to tackle academic issues. I will encourage students to think for themselves. In the past, I have focused on improving essay structure, both for college applications and AP exam-style questions.
