About Me

I am a recent graduate of the Applied Cognition and Neuroscience master's program at the University of Texas at Dallas. I am currently taking pre-requisites for medical school. My ultimate goal is to become a neurologist.

My first experience with tutoring was in college when I tutored in College Spanish. After that, I spent a year tutoring a first grade student and helping her with homework, spelling tests, and science projects. Both experiences were very rewarding and I enjoyed seeing the differences and similarities between how people of such different age groups learn.

I think that every person has a great capacity for learning and that given the right attention and atmosphere they can even enjoy it. A singular approach in any subject is often not enough for all students and this is unfortunately all there is time for in most classrooms. While grades and performance in class are important, it is learning how to think and learn that are invaluable and can be applied to any class at any age.
