Fun Facts
I grew up with three older brothers, it's safe to say I have been surrounded by sports all my life. My biggest stress reliever is playing basketball. It takes me into a whole new world until I'm done playing and I absolutely love it. I played all through high school but stopped right before college to focus on school. I love spending time with my family and friends. I'm very close with my parents. An interesting fact about my family is that my father is a heart transplant recipient!
About Me
I am a Junior who is currently enrolled into Northeastern Illinois University. I am looking to double major in English as well as Secondary Education, I hope to become a high school English teacher one day. I received my Associates in Liberal Arts at Oakton Community College, I left Oakton with a 3.7 GPA. I was captain of my high school basketball team for two years, and I maintained a high honor roll all through out high school.
Experience
Truthfully, Frog Tutoring would be my first professional tutoring job. I babysit my little cousins and I help them with their homework all the time. I see how frustrated my 13 year old cousins gets with herself when she doesn't understand the material and it reminds me so much of myself! I take things slowly and break things down to her in steps until she understands it. I hope Frog Tutoring expands my age group experience, after all, I hope to become a high school teacher one day.
Approach
I am well aware of hard it can be balancing all the stresses of life. With perhaps an extra curricular activity, family issues, and school on top of it...things can get very tough and crazy. I learned that time management and organization is key to school success. I want to teach students not only the content and material but how to change their study habits in a way that will make them successful through out the rest of their education.

Homework Coach Tutoring
I have very strong study skills that I would love to share with students. I perform well on tests and do what is needed to study sufficiently. Managing time while doing homework is key and that is what students struggle with the most.
Math Tutoring
Although Math is not my area of expertise, I did exceptionally well at it through out high school. It is nothing more than step by step processes and with learning the basics, anybody can do well in math.
Nutrition Tutoring
Nutrition is something that hits home for me. Since high school I began taking my health very seriously, losing about 50 pounds after having my first health class; I learning about how badly food can affect you. I began working out daily as well. I took a Nutrition course in college in which only further influenced my beliefs.
Psychology Tutoring
I have taken two Psychology courses in college and strongly considered a major in Psych. I took a Child Psychology course at Oakton Community College, this course focused on the growth of a child. I also took a general psychology course at Oakon. I did well on both courses, receiving a A in one and a B in the other course.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading is something that can be improved for everyone. It is something that takes a lot of focus and patience. I hope to teach students how to read actively and slowly, this ensures that the student is understanding the content of what they're reading.
Study Skills Tutoring
With having a super busy schedule at all times, nothing is more important than study skills. Getting distracted was always my number one issue in high school. Putting yourself in a "I have to get it done, so I'm doing to get it done now" mood really helped me with my time management. Study skills are something that are learned once but can be carried on all through out your educational life.
