I can solve the Rubik's Cube in about 22 seconds. I can also play piano. I am a beast at Chess. I like to joke around and make weird noises. I love to laugh and make other people laugh.

About Me

I love mathematics. More so, I love teaching mathematics because I am very good at explaining things in a simple manner. I want to teach mathematics on a consistent basis because I like to practice my arithmetic and mental calculations. I am what society would consider a nerd, and I'm very proud to be one.

I have tutored my brothers and cousins for well over a decade. In the past year I have tutored for the math lab at University of Indianapolis as well as private tutoring for high school students. I have tutored online for tutor.com for a couple months although I had to stop because of schoolwork.

I know that my job is to make sure students are learning and not just getting answers. I always start my tutoring session by asking "what is the problem?" My initial goal is to find out what the students know and what is stopping them from completing a problem on their own. I like to explain mathematics with examples. I feel as though examples are the best way to achieve understanding. I usually go through examples and explain every step. This way I avoid giving them the answer to their problem and they have a chance to practice what I taught them.
