Fun Facts

I love to write and I also love to learn about China and Chinese characters. I'm from a big family--my mother had six children--so I definitely love being around people who are younger than me. For the Fall of 2013 I will be heading to Chengdu, China for a study abroad opportunity! Very exciting!

About Me

I'm your average 18 year old girl working her way through college to get her degree(s). Reading and writing have always been a passion of mine. College was always something I wanted to pursue and because I spent one year in Running Start, I will be a Junior at PLU next year!

I was an Elementary Education Tutor from August 2010-January 2011 and I really loved it. The only reason I stopped was because my family had to move. I was never given the opportunity to tutor again.

I usually tried to have the student tell me what it was they were understanding and from there I explained things in such a way that the student could learn. Everyone learns differently, whether that's by visuals or by hearing how something works and it's important to figure that out from the get-go so that the student can start learning what they need to.
