Fun Facts
I have two kittens (about one year of age) and can type 70 words per minute without errors. I enjoy the process of learning, especially linguistics and the study of languages! I have briefly studied Russian, Farsi, and Spanish in addition to my knowledge of Japanese. While in Japan, I actually had the opportunity to be taught Korean in Japanese!
About Me
I have taken six years of Japanese at Georgia Tech, accomplishing a dual degree with Honors in International Affairs and Modern Languages and five semesters on the Dean's List. I hope to go into linguistics or teaching language as my career. I enjoy working with non-profits and other avenues in which I can make a difference.
I tutored through a practicum in my coursework at the Carver School of the Arts in Atlanta, GA. Through my fraternity, I often helped out lowerclassmen with their homework or with studying. I love to practice speaking in another language.
Patience, persistence, pedagogical knowledge, and content knowledge are the keys to learning. Everyone learns differently and has different strengths and weaknesses, I help you find your strengths and play to them to overcome your weaknesses. I believe in never giving up!
