Fun Facts
One fun fact about me is I love the sport of basketball. I played in junior high, high school and club my first two years in college. I am a huge laker fan and I try to attend at least one Wizards game a year. I am a middle child with an older sister and a younger brother. I am originally from California but came out to DC to go to American University.
About Me
I am a public health/ pre-medical senior at American University. I have a cumulative GPA average of 3.5. After I graduate, I hope to attend medical school and become a pediatrician.
I am good at effectively communicating with individuals and strive to better understand the students learning style in order to better help them succeed in school. My top priority is my students goals and success
Experience
For the past two summers I have had the opportunity to work at a stabilizing boys group home. I maintained the title of Education Specialist/Youth Counselor. Hired as part of an academic team, I was in charge of writing summer curriculum, execution of related activities, incentives, and evaluations. II worked closely with Marriage Family Therapist and psychologist to work on behavior modification for each client and find a way to implement their modification into their curriculum and activities.
Approach
As a child, I was tutored in many of my math and science classes. Now that I am in college and majority of my collegiate class required me to take a science I want to be able to help other students who were like me in high school who just needed a little extra help with content or studying for tests. I am a great motivator and want to push the students as much as possible to find the answers on their own while I guide them to the answer.

Public Health
Algebra Tutoring
I took algebra in junior high school where I received an overall grade of an B. This is a class that builds on top of each other, since I have taken Calculus. I will be able to help students with some of the fundamental concepts of algebra
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I am currently taking college A&P, so I will be able to help the student more efficiently because I will also be learning some of the same things
AP Chemistry Tutoring
I took honors chemistry in high school where I received an overall grade of an A-. I also studied chemistry again while I was preparing for the MCAT this past summer.
Biology Tutoring
I took biology in high school where I received an overall grade of an B. In addition I took this class again my freshman year in college, where I received anB-/ A-. I also studied biology again while I was preparing for the MCAT this past summer.
Chemistry Tutoring

I have excelled in all of my math classes not receiving lower than a B. I have taken pre-algebra all the way up to calculus so I will be able to help students on a wide variety of mathematical concepts.

I took honors pre-calculus in high school where I received an overall grade of an A-. In addition I took this class again my freshman year in college, where I received an A. This is one of my favorite math classes

I took an introduction to psychology course in college and received an A. This was one of my favorite courses in college. In addition to taking the psychology course in college, I had a review this past summer studying for the MCAT where I went more in depth in all of the information.

I went to a christian high school were we were required to take a religion class each semester for all four years

I have taken college statistics and received a B+ and am currently taking biostatistics

I took trigonometry apart of pre-calculus where i received an overall grade of an A-. This is one of my favorite math sections
