Fun Facts
Chess is my "sport" of interest. As well as following international tournaments, I regularly play in my free time. As an older brother of two I had plenty of opponents and took 17th place in California State Finals.
About Me
I am a transfer student from redlands">University of Redlands, where I did my senior capstone on drones for a Physics BA. As well as hard sciences I also am interested in finance and have had internships with engineering firms as well as a venture capitalist fund. At Seattle University I am studying electrical engineering. After graduation I hope to start my own business.
Experience
At the redlands">University of Redlands I was a tutor for calculus and physics students twice a week. Also I participated in Jasper's Corner an after school 1-on-1 tutoring program that worked with local elementary and high school students four times a week.
Approach
As a tutor I realize that every student learns differently and try to show several ways to think about a unclear concept. By keeping students focused for the entire tutoring time, they build the attention skills to get more out of their classes. I use encouragement and confidence building to show students they have all the tools necessary to succeed. Showing a student that the subject is interesting is my goal. I do this by repetition and real life example to keep them engaged.
