Fun Facts

Besides my passion for reading and writing, I enjoy running, biking, and volunteer work. I am also a lector for Sunday masses at my parish. Through my sorority, I volunteer at the Indianapolis Public Schools and read to children. I have been an active babysitter for the past five years, and enjoy the time I am able to inspire and be inspired by children. I also aspire to attend law school upon graduation.

About Me

I have just completed my freshman year at Butler as an English Literature major. I also plan to add Spanish as a double major. I am a active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity, as well as the secretary of Phi Eta Sigma Honors Fraternity. I am also in the Honors Program at Butler. I am passionate about reading, writing, and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others, especially younger students with my similar interests.

Although I have never formally tutored students, I regularly assist my siblings and peers with schoolwork. I often edit essays, help students form a thesis, and coherently structure their arguments. I take great pleasure in using my talents to help others learn and better their own skills.

When assisting students, I strive to act as their equal. I do not want to come across as a superior, when, in fact, I often also learn from those I am helping. I want the student to enjoy, appreciate, and be proud of their work. The main goal of all school work is to gain knowledge and self-satisfaction. I pride myself on my encouraging and positive attitude while assisting others.
