I am from New Jersey and have one older brother. I also love to play basketball, do yoga, and go shopping. I speak 3 languages - English, French, and Ukrainian.
About Me
My name is Stephanie and I am a Junior at maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">columbia-university">maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia University studying Neuroscience and Business Management. I am also a John Jay Scholar and volunteer tutor with our Double Discovery Center. Additionally, I am on the pre-medical track with the hopes of attending a top-tier medical school upon graduating maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia.
In high school, I started my own SAT tutoring company and amassed 25 clients who went on to schools such as Duke, Villanova, Elon, and boston-college">Boston College. Overall, I have been tutoring for 5 years. I tutor students from 2nd grade to College in a variety of subjects. My main tutoring expertise is in math and science as those are my true academic passions. I hope I can help you love math and science as much as I do!
I believe in a very individualized tutoring curriculum focused on a student's weaknesses. The best use of our sessions are using old tests, worksheets, and textbook problems to see which areas the student has the most trouble with. I like to solidify the concepts and then teach the students different ways of approaching the problem.
