Fun Facts

I used to be on the fencing team to represent my city. I used to work at a jujube farm in middle school.

About Me

I'm an undergraduate at New York University, pursuing a chemical and biomolecular engineering degree. It is my dream and ambition to one day become a nuclear engineer and use my knowledge to solve the energy crisis.

Experience

I've worked at my school as a student researcher, and my project's purpose was to create a 3d model of the sarcomere, which is a functional unit of the muscle cell, using softwares like AutoCAD and Solidworks. I was tasked with presenting my research findings to the faculty and alumni of NYU and Columbia, and create a final poster, as a culmination of my research. I believe that the greatest asset that assisted me in this past experience was communication, i.e. the ability to transfer knowledge.

Approach

In the beginning of my university career, I was dejected and diagnosed with clinical depression, because I could not cope with the difficult workload and having to live thousands of miles away from home. But after receiving tremendous help from both inside and outside of school by tutors and my psychiatrist, I was able to overcome my adversity. I always want to reach out to those who feel helpless because I once was in a similar situation.

Biology I Tutoring

Bio was the bane of my existence until I figured out how to study. It was an intense class with a requirement for a rigorous study schedule and memorization. I think that memorization is not an impossibility, although some people are afraid to tackle this issue. Anybody can memorize their phone number, social security number, etc, because they are so personal. I believe that I have the necessary skill to make the knowledge more personal and engaging to you.

Physics I Tutoring

Physics is probably one of my favorite subjects because of its application in everyday observations. Physics is pretty much everywhere, in both visible and invisible forms. Physics does not require a lot of time to study, and I think that physics is taught to be a torturous class, where it really isn't. I believe that it's possible to learn physics without having to tackle it from an overtly academic approach.
