Fun Facts
I like reading dry, non-fiction books because, ironically, they're the only one's that can keep my attention. I also watch a lot of bad reality show competitions. In fact Project Runway made me pick an interest in sewing and needlework, and I recently started embroidering.
About Me
I am a senior Physics student at the University of Arizona. My goal now is to get a Masters in Computational Statistics and then apply that skill in the social sciences or non-profit sector.
Experience
In high school, I was able to score a 5/5 on the AP Calculus AB & BC tests and AP Physics B by studying with my schoolmates in addition to taking those classes. I was also able to get a 5/5 on the AP Physic C: Mechanics test without taking a class at all, just by studying by myself and with some others doing the same.
I also have experience with tutoring college students in physics and can help with any lower-division calculus or physics classes.
Approach
I think most people hate math and physics because they learned it as a collection of arcane rules and processes that you just memorize and follow to make answers appear on the page, without being taught what any of it means or developing any intuition for how it all works. I want to teach not just how to calculate result, but an understanding that allows my students to see what it all means and figure out how to solve problems for themselves.

Calculus I Tutoring
My 5/5 on the AP Calculus BC test was enough that my university gave me transfer credit for Calculus 1 & 2. Calculus is also something that I continue to apply in most of my classes as a physics major, so I have years of experience and familiarity with it.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
My 5/5 on the AP Calculus BC test was enough that my university gave me transfer credit for Calculus 1 & 2. Calculus is also something that I continue to apply in most of my classes as a physics major, so I have years of experience and familiarity with it.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
I took Calculus 3 my first semester of university and, because it is the calculus most applicable to physics, it is something have continued to use every semester since. I have years of experience and familiarity with it.
Physics I Tutoring
As a senior physics major I have been applying and refining the foundations of physics for over 4 years. It is something I am intimately and intuitively familiar with. I am more than qualified to not just help calculate results but to help understand what the equations, processes, and results mean about our world and how to figure out solutions to problems for yourself, without just applying memorized steps.

AP Physics Tutoring
I got 5/5 on both the AP Physics B and the AP Physics C: Mechanics tests, the later of which I self-studied because my high school didn't offer a class for it. My course work as a physics major has made me extremely familiar with the material covered on all three tests, including C: Electricity and Magnetism.
Calculus Tutoring
I exceeded in high school calculus through AP Calculus BC and got a 5/5 on the corresponding AP test. I have since taken vector calculus my first semester in university, and it is something that I continue to apply in most of my classes as a physics major.
Calculus AP Tutoring

Chemistry Tutoring
I exceeded in honors chemistry as a high school student, and my university courses on thermodynamics and quantum mechanics have expanded and reinforced my familiarity with the concepts I first learned in that honors chemistry class. I have also been involved in developing chemistry content for digital education.
Economics Tutoring
I excelled in high school economics, getting a 5/5 on the AP Microeconomics test and state-wide medals for economics in academic decathlon. I have continued to perform well in the economics classes I have taken as electives in university. Economics is somewhat of side-interest for me, and it's something I continue to read about and educate myself on in my own time.
Math Advance Tutoring
I exceeded in high school calculus through AP Calculus BC and got a 5/5 on the corresponding AP test. I also won multiple state-wide academic decathlon medals in math. I have since taken vector calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations in university, all of which I continue to apply in my classes as a physics major.
Micro-Economics Tutoring
