About Me
I graduated from Saint Louis University in 2016 with a 3.94 GPA. I received a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy on a pre-med track. I was awarded the Helping Hands Award and Mallinckrodt Outstanding Achievement Award for my volunteer and leadership involvement. I was on the Camp Kesem executive board, volunteered at St. Louis Children's Hospital for 3 years, and conducted research at Washington University. I am interviewing at medical schools this year and hope to become a physician.
Experience
I volunteer as a tutor at Loyola Academy middle school every week. I work with a sixth grade student and help him with math because it is his most difficult subject, but we also study science and English. In college I mostly helped students with pre-med classes such as biology, chemistry, and physics. I hope to help more students succeed and gain more tutoring experience working for Frog Tutoring!
Approach
I believe that working early and being organized will produce success. If a student has a plan of action and individual goals to work towards, it makes the subject less overwhelming and builds confidence. Asking students how they normally like to study and providing study skills that have worked for me is a good approach to discover what best suits each student. I will provide an encouraging and positive environment that will promote confidence and hard work!
