Fun Facts

Something I have always held dear to my heart is the United States Army and what they stand for. Because of this, I joined and it has changed my perception of life. It gave me a second chance I never thought I would get. Now I am back in school and have bolted out from the starting whistle. I have come to understand the importance of putting in the work to understanding the material. How to better manage my time and prioritize my life.

About Me

I am currently striving for an education in biomedical engineering with a focus in tissue engineering and a minor in chemistry. Science and math have always been a passion of mine. I hunger for knowledge and the satisfaction of helping others who need a little push on the right track. I am also a learners assistant for finite math at my college while taking a seminar on how to be a better tutor.

Experience

Being a learners assistant for the first semester has had its challenges but they have all had their rewards. I enjoy getting to know my students and how is it that they best learn. The learners assistant seminar I am taking has also had benefitial resutls because it helps me understand the different aspects of teaching and how to best go about it. Being a Frog Tutoring tutor gives me a better opportunity to interact with individual students and impact their lives in a positive manner.

Approach

I have come to realize that every student gathers and process information differently. As a child, I was never fond of school and used to dread getting up in the morning. what helped me be successful was finding what motivated me, what gave me purpose to put in many study hours to be proficient on the material being taught in my classes. I enjoy helping my fellow peers and have received positive feedback on my methods of teaching.
