Fun Facts

People often tell me that I am a very bubbly and energetic person. I love dancing and singing around my house. I love hanging out with my friends and family. I also like to participate in activities around my school ,Wayne Ste university, and the Metro Detroit community. Last summer I was an Orientation Leader for WSU, and I am currently a GO-GIRLS mentor. I also volunteer at Children's Hospital of Michigan.

About Me

I am a fourth year pre- med student at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University where I am majoring in Nutrition and Food Science. I am planning on applying to medical school next summer where I hope to obtain my MD and Masters of Public Health. I am very involved at WSU being a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, Student Ambassador Program and the WSU Student United Way. I love my school !. I am also a proud member of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority Phi Sigma Chapter.

Last school year I had the pleasure of volunteering at the St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center's Education Experience Program. While I was there I worked with different 3rd students twice a week in subjects like math and reading.This particular program provided specialized lesson plans based on each student special needs. These lesson planes served as a template for me as a detroit">tutor to follow. Since my time there, I have seen the significance of this lesson plans, and I am prepared to create my own lesson plans for any student that I detroit">tutor.

I like to make learning fun and applicable. For example maybe teaching the a little song to remember multiplication tables or reenacting out a certain scene in history. I want to a positive force in the student's life which I like to do through praise and encouragement. I also highly stress for students to be confident in themselves and there own their abilities. I am very animated in my approach to students. Personally speaking, I am a visual learner so I understand the importance of being about to visualize various problems and solutions.
