Fun Facts

I am an avid reader of all genres and have written a 78,000 word young adult fantasy manuscript. I am also currently applying for a master's degree in writing. I have a lab-husky mix, who keeps me running and hiking outdoors. I also have been training for a half-ironman triathlon.

About Me

I have always been a hard worker and good grades are important to me. I am a fast paced learner with the patience and motivation to teach my knowledge base to others. I enjoy teaching, and feel fulfilled seeing fellow students succeed.

I have been a part of several writing circles in which I helped others edit their stories. I was responsible for helping fellow students with various aspects of writing: plot, character, setting, voice, ect. I have also helped young students with reading-comprehension/colorado/denver">reading comprehension and essay writing in an informal capacity.

I like to create a comfortable learning atmosphere. I want students to feel like it is okay to make mistakes and ask questions because that is how we learn. I fully believe in practice makes perfect, and I think the best way to be a great reader or writer is to actually read and write. My primary goal is to make sure students are given a wide range of ways to learn. If my original plan doesn't work I like to shift things and make the denver">tutoring session work for them. Not every student can fit into a box. I try to be creative in my approach and tailor it to each student.
