About Me
I recently graduated from the miami">University of Miami with a BS in biology and a BA in psychology. I'm currently studying for the MCAT since I plan on applying to medical school next year. I'm looking for a part- time position during my time off from school and came across this opportunity on the canelink website.
I've always loved working with children, especially when it involves preparing them for academic success. I enjoy volunteer work and helping others in general, which is why I decided to apply.
I'm confident that I'm very qualified for this miami">tutoring position. I've always been an excellent student and I have experience working with children and teaching underclassmen. During high school, I volunteered in a children's art and summer camp during two consecutive summers. This strengthened my ability to communicate with and befriend children while also maintaining order and making sure they are focused on their tasks. During college, I volunteered at Miami Children's hospital during the summer of 2011 which reinforced my skills when interacting with children. I also have experience teaching underclassmen since I was a biology workshop leader during three different semesters. My workshop leader experiences taught me how to effectively teach others complicated biology topics.
