I love reading and crossword puzzles! I am very energetic and truly love teaching, I love watching my students learn and see the awe as their faces light up when they comprehend my analogies! I have a great sense of humor that makes an easy going learning environment that is not straight textbook, some humor lightens up the intense session, we get our work done and have fun while doing it!

About Me

I am a Dept. of Ed. NYC Science Teacher! I am a college graduate from St. Francis College. I’ve been on the Dean’s List for every semester during my undergraduate education and have graduated with honors! I am currently a graduate student at brooklyn-college">Brooklyn College earning my second Masters in Biology.

During my high school years at Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School, I found my passion for teaching as I worked as a brooklyn">tutor to students in middle school and elementary school at an after-school homework help center, A+ Center for Learning. Upon entering college, I was eager to begin working with students again, and I worked as a peer brooklyn">tutor to students struggling in academic areas that I excelled at the college’s Academic Enhancement Center. Working for Frog brooklyn">Tutoring gives me the opportunity to impact even more lives of students that need help!

Everyone learns in a certain way at a different rate, which contributes to our uniqueness as individuals. I believe that a great teacher helps actualizes a student’s potential, through positive encouragement and persistency. As a brooklyn">tutor, I will meet the specific needs of your child with a specially tailored lesson plan to target all of your child’s areas of difficulty. I will implement the Socratic Method and encourage your child to ask questions and guide them to the solutions, and teach them in such a way that they will be able to take more away from the session for continued success. Furthermore, I prefer to use analogies, mnemonic devices, and drawings when I teach, so if you learn best through seeing or visualizing material rather than note memorization or repetitive listening I will be a great match for you!
