Fun Facts

I am a HUGE animal lover! I am always looking at animal facts and videos online, or I'm out exploring my local parks to get a glimpse of the local wildlife. I love the ocean as well, so you can always find me at the beach any chance I get. When I'm not outside at the beach or looking for critters, I'm inside either reading or doing a DIY project I've discovered on Pinterest. I also really enjoy watching a good documentary or an Animal Planet show when I have the time to spare.

About Me

I have three college degrees: two Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M University at Galveston in Marine Biology and Marine Fisheries and a Masters of Science from Unity College in Sustainable Natural Resource Management. I am currently working with Texas Parks and Wildlife in the Law Enforcement division in hopes of furthering my career to push for better environmental policy creation, implementation, and management. My ultimate goal is to insure our natural resources are protected.

Experience

I have worked in with children over the course of my life, from babysitting, to teaching Children’s Church, to Private Tutoring. implementing Summer Camp programs and STEM programs for the greater Houston area visitors of Brazos Bend State Park and the Battleship TEXAS. Additionally, I have experience in creating and teaching interpretive programs to children of various ages. I love seeing kids get excited about learning new things and it brings such a joy to my life seeing them loving to learn!

Approach

I also have experience working with students who have a variety of learning strategies and interests. I have helped students gain confidence in reading, writing, and mathematical and scientific skills, while keep the curriculum fun and interesting. I have also worked with parents to help further help their young learners at home to encourage continued learning. I work to fit your child's specific needs; visual, hands on, repetitive, whatever helps them to learn is what we are going to do!
