About Me

I'm a Full-time IT Engineer and student at Western Governors University, working on my Bachelor's degree in IT. I'm aiming for a career in IT security that will allow me to travel the world. As for now, I'm building experience in my field so that when I graduate, finding this career will be much easier.

Outside of school and work, I'm a big culture enthusiast. I like to learn about people from different backgrounds. I also like to meet new people and enjoy knowing I can help a new person out.

Experience

Although I do not have professional tutoring experience, I have tutored some of my 5 younger siblings ever since I was 10, and I still do so to this day! I was always a Straight A/Honor's student taking some of the load off my parents to help them with their homework and tests.

I've also been a resource and mentor for a some of my former colleagues I met in college. In addition to tutoring, I would help them with their resumes, job search, interviews and professionalism in general.

Approach

My real struggle in education was in Palestine as the exams are harder than in the American system. In addition to multiple choice (only 15%), other questions included essays, bullet points, definition and fill-the-blank questions, having me study rigorously by memorization and daily repetition drills.

My take-away key method from this experience is "Comprehend First." Asking endless questions to get there and then practice what I've learned to drill the concept in in the mind.
