Fun Facts

I love to cook and bake! it is something I grew up doing for my 12 siblings. Now that I am older I don't have the large amount of time to dedicate to it. So instead I host food/game night whenever I can and invite my friends over.

About Me

I am currently finishing my Master in Physics at Northwestern University. I received my Bachelors in Science from Howard University- where I majored in physics and minored in biology. I am a member of the Physics Honor Society- Sigma Pi Sigma. I also speak Arabic and French.

Experience

I first began tutoring in 10th grade at my local Public Library. I attended an inner city high school and saw a large amount of the students in my school having difficulties learning the materials. I continued to tutor in undergrad helping my peers become successful. Upon graduating from college, I was given the opportunity to teach college level physics to high school students.

Approach

My motto is "success is not something you become, success is something you are". Coming from a family of educators I understand that everyone learns differently. In elementary and middle school I had difficulties learning in a classroom environment. I immediately told my mother- has her PhD in education and is a principal- and we found out that I am a visual learner. By knowing this I sought out the proper learning tools I needed. I feel inclined to help others find the tools for their success.
