About Me

I graduated from San Francisco State with a Masters in Education in 2014 and from UC riverside">Riverside in 2012 with a BA in Psychology and a BA in Women's Studies. I love working with students and helping them succeed in their academic endeavors.

I currently oversee 10 after school programs and ensure there is academic alignment between what we teach our students and what teachers teach them during the day. During the pandemic, I single handedly pivoted our programs virtually and set up our systems and structures to effectively teach students online.


My tutoring approach is to be fun but also efficient. I like students to have a comfortable environment so they can feel free to approach me with any questions they have. In addition I am also very encouraging, supportive, and patient. Even if a student may not grasp a concept right away, I encourage them to keep trying while also acknowledging their merit. Lastly, I also like to explain concepts or problems in different ways because every student is a different type of learner. Thus, if a student is having trouble understanding what they just read, I like to explain it in different words, use an example, or even drawing it out.
