Fun Facts

When I am not spending my time studying or working, I am actively involved with the American Chemical Society, where I am the National Chemistry Week Coordinator for the Dallas-Fort Worth Section. I am also the student manager for the TCU Women's Soccer Team, where I aid the coaches with data collection and analysis. In whatever down time that is left, I enjoy playing and watching various sports, eating, visiting museums, and hanging out with my family and friends.

About Me

My name is Sandi, and I am a currently obtaining my bachelor's of science degree in mathematics and a bachelor's of science degree in chemistry. I will be graduating in December 2013. After I graduate, I plan on obtaining my Ph.D in Statistics, where I hope to specialize in sports statistics. After I get my Ph.D, I would like to go into teaching at the college and university level or work at ESPN.

I have previously served as an undergraduate teaching assistant at TCU's department of chemistry. As a teaching assistant, I aided students with performing experiments and aided them with pre-lab and post-lab questions. In addition to helping students out with material pertaining to the lab, I aided students with material in the lecture portion of the course as well. In addition, I have also tutored various students in various topics with mathematics courses that included statistics, pre-calculus, calculus I, and linear algebra.

I have always felt like knowledge continues to build on previous materials learned in the past. Thus I like to ensure that the student has a good foundation before moving onto new information. Thus, I see every session beginning with a short review before moving onto new material.
