Fun Facts

I am from Spain and I really enjoy share my language and culture with my students. Apart from Spanish I love dancing, cooking, and travelling. I like doing craft and arts activities and I consider myself really creative person. I love creating my own materials for my lessons and try to have fun during them.

About Me

I have just moved to Houston, Texas from Europe. I am a native Spaniard who holds a Master in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and also a B.A. in Pedagogy from the Universidad de Sevilla.

Experience

I have experience teaching Spanish at all levels of the language curriculum, I have been teaching one-on-one, groups, after schools clubs and early years Spanish lessons in London and Spain. More recently I have been working as a Teacher Assistance in a English Public School , where I was providing class support to Y3 and Y2, guide Reading groups and running interventions with children who struggle with math and literacy.

Approach

I like my lessons be dynamic. The student has to speak and participate most of the time, this is the way to practise the language. I love to focus on day to day Spanish more than grammar, of course it is necessary, but you can learn it in real situations. My students have really different motivations for learning Spanish, school, business, fun.... so I adapt my class to their interests and help them be successful in their goals.
