Photography, Music (singing, dancing, playing my violin), doodles and soccer are a few of the activities that engulf my hobbies. I hope to own a Corgi and a Basset Hound someday to teach them commands in Spanish : )
About Me
I was born and raised in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. I am an Alumni from The University of Oklahoma. Currently attending UNK for a Master of Arts in Spanish Education. I have experience teaching elementary, middle school, high school and College Conversational Spanish as well as grammar and composition. My approach to each student's struggles are taken into account individually. I like to find problems and then fix them. My ultimate goal is to be a Doctor of Spanish.
Experience
As a native Spanish speaker and with my Academic experience in the language, I have had the opportunity to tutor students from elementary up to College Spanish. From the first session I felt joy at the student's progress and self confidence in the language. Working as a tutor sparked my utter passion and love for the Spanish Language, but more than anything the love for my students to learn and apply the language in the real world.
Approach
My approach to each student's struggles are taken into account individually. I like to focus on the students positive accomplishments to determine the weak points in their learning curve. I view tutoring as a way for any student to express their concerns without feeling singled out. I like to take the time to ensure each student fully understands the concept(s) at hand to prove a successful academic path.

MastersSpanish I Tutoring
At the beginning of my Academic Career i was able to CLEP out of Spanish 1115,1225, 2113, & 2223. As a native spanish speaker I was able to master the CLEP test and receive college credits for these courses.

At the beginning of my Academic Career i was able to CLEP out of Spanish 1115,1225, 2113, & 2223. As a native spanish speaker I was able to master the CLEP test and receive college credits for these courses.
Spanish III Tutoring
During my undergraduate studies i took an exam to receive college credits without taking the class.
SPANISH 3073 (Spanish Conversation) my grade was S for Satisfactory.
After passing and receiving the credits for this class, I enrolled in the following.
SPANISH 3423 (Advanced Spanish Composition) letter grade A.
SPANISH 3853 (Readings in Spanish Literature) letter grade A.
My tutoring experience started with my Associates degree in Technical Spanish Translation and Interpretation. Other students would seek out my help and thus is how i started my tutoring network. Everything I have learned from these courses and all others I have applied directly to my sessions.

Violin Tutoring
Music has always been my passion. In 7th grade i joined a Mariachi band that allowed me to develop my singing and violin talents. When I moved to Oklahoma in the 8th grade, I joined the String orchestra at the Mid-Del Schools. Although i had played in 7th grade I had no experience reading music. I had learned from shadowing other players. I worked my way up to 2nd chair First Violin within the end of the year. I played and learned the art of classical music, sight reading, music theory, posture, among many other skills. As a group we competed in State and Nation wide competitions. My playing experience amounts from 7th-12th grade. I have had the pleasure to teach Middle School Students who struggle with sight reading or music reading.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
During my Associates Degree at OSU-OKC , I took a Computer science course that taught me the basic skills for operating and creating a PowerPoint Slideshow.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
From the time I entered High school up to this present day, Microsoft Office/Word has been an essential tool to complete my studies. I can create new templates, add footers, page numbers, borders, style formats, keyboard shortcuts for Spanish Accents, among many other skills.
