About Me
I am a sophomore student Otterbein University, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I also took evening classes during my senior year of high school to obtain my State- Tested Nurse Aide liscensure for the state of Ohio. My dream is to become a Registered Nurse and work in either pediatrics or in the newborn unit in a hospital.
I participated in a daily columbus">tutoring program during my senior year of high school. Instead of staying in the high school during my study hall period, I walked over to the elementary school and tutored students one-on-one. I worked with second and third grade students in the area of reading and comprehension, and really learned the value of not only being a columbus">tutor but a mentor as well.
Through my previous experience as a columbus">tutor, I became aware of the importance to keep the students engaged. I hope to be able to provide a fun and positive experience to make the student look forward to learning and understanding the material. I believe all students have the ability to comprehend materials being taught, and the key to uncovering this is to find a teaching style that the student connects best with. I hope to be able to help students see that they can conquer any difficulties if they just look at it and approach it in a different way.
