Fun Facts
Soccer is my passion. I have played since I was about 4 years old. I was a part of the Ohio Dominican Women's Soccer team for the past four years that I attended the university. I would love to coach in my future.
About Me
I am a senior education major at Ohio Dominican University. I have a 3.8 GPA. I will be majoring in early childhood education and intervention specialist with a minor in spanish. After graduation, my goal is to get a teaching job in the Columbus area at the elementary level.
Experience
As an education major, I have had a lot of experience in the classroom from observations to teaching lessons. I have had extra experience tutoring 3rd grade students in reading to help them pass their reading guarantee. I enjoy tutoring and helping children learn, so Frog Tutoring would be a great opportunity.
Approach
As a child, I was always in honors and gifted programs through schools. I was always able to sdhelp my friends understand assignments and talk them through problems. As I grew older, I continued to have a passion for helping children to learn. As a tutor, I plan to be patient in my sessions. The most important thing is helping the students to answer their own questions and getting to the answer themselves. Instruction needs to be personalized to the student in order to maximize their growth.

Homework Coach Tutoring
I am an early childhood education major, so I am familiar with most of the content and the content standards that are being taught in the classroom. I have had multiple observation and teaching experiences through my courses. I have taught lessons to students, graded homework, and created unit plans.
Math Tutoring
I have taken a math methods course that has allowed me to get familiar with the content that is being taught to the students. Through this course, I had the dopportunity to observe and teach lessons to elementary students. I have created various lesson plans and unit plans.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have tutoring experience in reading and getting 3rd grade students ready for their reading guarantee. I have taken a language arts methods class, which I learned about the reading content that must be taught and got to teach actual lessons to elementary students. I have created various lesson plans and unit plans for the subject area.
Science Tutoring
I have taken a science methods courses that have got me familiar with the content that is taught to the students. This experience allowed me to get into a classrooms and teach lessons to elementary students. I have created various lesson plans and unit plans for the subject area.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have taken a social studies method course in college. THis course teaches about the content that is taught at the elementary age and also got me into the classroom to teach actual lessons to elementary students. I also created a full unit plan on social studies through this course.
Spanish Tutoring
I have taken spanish course since middle school. I took up to Spanish 5 in high school. I continued with spanish in college and decided to make it my minor. I have recently completed my last spanish course in my minor. I have received As in my spanish courses throughout my college career.
Writing Tutoring
I have taken a language arts methods course, which got me familiar with the content that is taught. I also was able to get in the classroom and teach actual lessons to elementary school students. I have created various lesson plans for the subject area.
