Fun Facts
I'm an avid gamer and technology enthusiast. I build custom computers and tinker with everything I can get my hands on! I love learning and spend most of my time with my nose in a book or trying to build things. I'm also attempting to learn music. You won't see me on American Idol but I enjoy trying to learn guitar and singing.
About Me
I'm a junior at Towson University. I've been on the Dean's List every semester! I hope to work in Network Security or Software Development when I graduate. I love college and taking on side projects in my spare time. I'm also studying for CompTIA certifications when I have time to broaden my skill set.
Experience
Over the summer I taught classes in game design, programming, and app design for a company that specializes in teaching computer concepts to middle school aged students. I also help out my friends and fellow classmates when given the opportunity. Being able to pass on what I've learned is a very satisfying experience and more than anything I love to see my students get excited about learning!
Approach
I did well in school until about middle school when I started to become bored which lead to trouble-making. I preferred to learn on my own so my parents home-schooled me for two years and then sent me off to college. The most important thing that learning on my own taught me, is the necessity of self-motivation. Never do only what is required. My approach is to instill a lifelong desire to learn in my students, and confidence that they have the skills to succeed.

C++ Tutoring
I finished with the highest grade in my class in this subject. I also solved a problem that stumped the Teacher's Assistant during the semester. This is a great base-level language and one of the simplest to learn.
Computer Programming Tutoring
I have a knowledge of computer programming in general including pseudo code and many of the languages not taught in school. If you're looking for someone with a large general knowledge of computer programming, I have experience with HTML, JScript, Jquery, SQL, Visual Basic, C++, C#, C, and Java. Learning your first language is hard, but once you know the concepts, picking up another language is much easier.
Writing Tutoring
Although my expertise is in computers and technology, I have never received less than an A in a writing based course. I finished my last two English courses with a 98% total for each course. I'm well versed in common writing techniques such as drafting, proofreading, and MLA/APA styling.
HTML Tutoring
I learned this subject in school as well as taught it to students over the summer. Although HTML is not as widely used as it once was, it is still an important foundation of web-design and an absolute necessity for someone interested in websites.
Java Tutoring
I finished Java in school with an A. This, or C++, is the language I usually recommend to friends interesting in learning programming.

Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
Power Points are a common tool in College and an important skill. It is not about the software as much as learning how to make quality slides and give a presentation that your audience will appreciate. Power Point provides many tools to do this and is an invaluable asset in any students arsenal. I have made dozens of Power Points in my college career and received As on all my projects.
