Fun Facts
I've been to China, Ghana, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico. Next is Europe! I love visiting new places and am definitely going to travel the world.
About Me
I am in my final semester as a nursing student at New York University. I would like to do travel nursing for a while (hopefully working with children when I can) and then become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the future.
Experience
Growing up, I had a strong aptitude for mathematics. I was given a "Mathology Award" in high school and was often called on to help my classmates when they needed help. It always felt great when I saw their expressions change as they suddenly understood how to work a problem.
Approach
I believe that I am "good in math" because of my dad and a library tutor I worked with because they really helped engage me and increase my understanding in the subject. I struggled with fractions and division the first time I was exposed to it and they helped me practice over and over. When I learned it in class, it clicked right away. I believe that sometimes it takes a few different approaches and seeing different methods, as well as practice and patience, to fully understand certain concepts

I took Algebra during freshman year of high school and got 99% in the class. I used to help my fellow classmates during class. I also helped tutor my younger brother and my friends' younger siblings.

I took Trigonometry during my junior year of high school and received 90s in the class. I scored a 96 on the regents in this subject. I have experience helping classmates with problems.

I took algebra and geometry in middle school and received grades of above 90s. I have experience helping friends with homework.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I always enjoyed math in elementary school and performed well in class and on standardized tests. I received the highest level grade (4) on the Citywide Tests from 3rd grade through 5th grade. I believe it is about understanding the basics first and then being able to further use this foundation to answer more complex questions. I have experience helping friends with problems.
Regents Tutoring
I received a Regents diploma with advanced designation: merit and special endorsement from my high school.
SAT Math Tutoring
I received a score of 700 in the Math section of the SATs. I have attended SAT prep myself and have learned techniques on how to solve their problems. I also helped a friend's sister prepare for the SATs.

I took geometry and trigonometry in middle school.
