Fun Facts

I am the youngest of five brothers, one of whom is my twin. I have lived in central Phoenix my whole life, in a house with numerous farm animals in the backyard. I also love the outdoors and frequently go on camping trips.

About Me

I am currently a junior at Southern Methodist University and pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics and mechanical engineering. I play almost every sport, but im most skilled at tennis and swimming. Throughout the summer I coach a swim team and help run a summer camp.

This would be my first official job as a phoenix">tutor, but by no means am I inexperienced. Apart from the occasional classmate in need of assistance, I also have an older brother with special-needs who I've helped with coursework and studying for exams over the past several years. Also, during the school year I work as a grader for the Math department at SMU. This job has kept Algebra, Calculus, and most other math classes fresh in my memory.

If the person I'm phoenix">tutoring has a specific question, I answer their question to the best of my knowledge and have them work on a related problem to see if they understood my explanation. Given a gap in my knowledge, I am very skilled at figuring out solutions with just example problems from the textbook.
If their questions are more general, I first have the work on example problems in order to gauge how much they know. From there, I can correct their mistakes and guide them towards the correct answer.
