About Me

I graduated this past year from Stanford University with a 3.72 GPA. I majored in Comparative Literature and minored in Creative Writing. I am in the process of applying to grad school.

Experience

Throughout undergrad, I tutored local elementary students in math and reading comprehension. I spent the summer after my sophomore year of college, in Mongolia teaching at an academic camp for gifted high schoolers. I taught SAT prep and essay writing.

Approach

Growing up, certain subjects really didn't come easy to me. I remember very vividly pouring through my math textbook in the dead of a Minnesotan winter and just tearing up. High school in particular was very stressful for me, and my school had much fewer resources outside of the classroom than Stanford did. As a tutor, I understand the frustration that can come with learning new material. I have a lot of empathy for my students, and I try to make our experience together fun and empowering.
