Fun Facts

As lame as it sounds I LOVE rocks. I collect rocks from each county in every state! Being a geology major has truly helped feed into my rock collection. In other non-lame nerd news I also love to figure skating. I have been figure skating since I was 2 and found a true passion in it my whole life. I've had the opportunity to complete competitively in the sport my whole life but once it intervened with my education, I chose school over the sport. I still occasionally figure skate though.

About Me

I am a full time college student and Miami-Dade Community College and will be graduating this spring I will be continuing my studies in Colorado at Colorado State University where I will be majoring in Geology. I love rocks and the physical structure of earth itself. I'm hoping in the future to work for NASA to study geology of other planets. One of the planets I have already began researching work on is Mars. I have done research projects on the ability to grow beyond earth on other planets.

Experience

I have tutored vastly in all subjects. I began as homeschool tutor for about 4 years and hope to continue my experience in tutoring. My favorite subjects to tutor are physics and geology. I have also done many homework help volunteer jobs at my local library. Over the years my experience in tutoring has truly showed me the fun behind teaching. Teaching will be one of my favorite things to do and I am eternally grateful for having the opportunity to teach students throughout my career.

Approach

As I went through high school i realized how much I loved hands on learning. Especially in the science subjects. To me hands on learning is the best approach to having kids understand any subject. Showing kids that what they are learning has a purpose you can physically see and do makes learning much more fun for the party involved.
